CONTEXT
Why increase the fertility of the soil
Soil is an essential resource for agriculture and Humanity. Somewhat neglected by the agronomic model of recent decades, the soil is the place of an intense biological life where the root is in permanent relationship with other living organisms.
This training course addresses the topic of soil fertility, the means to measure it and the levers to develop it, as well the most appropriate practices to implement and the way to design a cropping system to develop it. Based on agronomic considerations, it presents the thinking to be put in place at the farm level to change its practices accordingly.
Afterwards, the training course should make it possible to evolve towards the implementation of agro-ecological practices and to reduce the use of inputs (fertilizers, phytosanitary products in particular).
