CONTEXT
Cover crops: why it is important to success
Cover crops are one of the pillars of soil regenerative agriculture. They are also one of the important levers for developing agroecological models. Set up between two crops, they are real photosynthetic hyphens in the sense that they continue to capture light energy to feed the life of the soil and support its fertility. Once in place, they provide many other services. What exactly are they? How to decide on the composition of cover crops? How to sow them successfully? What good practices should be implemented until their destruction to promote their optimal development? What are the interesting decision-making tools to support this success? These are just some of the questions to which this training course provides an answer.
In retrospect, this training course should enable the learner to master the subject of cover crops in order to further establish (as a farmer or advisor) the implementation of an agroecological approach on the farm.
